Austin's Furniture Outlet
Though their new website received positive reviews, the management at Austin's Furniture Outlet did not see the return they expected. AFO accepted my offer to do some investigating into their website issue, and make some general recommendations using what information I gather. AFO hadn't heard of UX Research, so we came up with the core questions we wanted to answer together, and discussed the process of how to answer them. All questions fell into two buckets:
-
What does the showroom offer that the website doesn't?
-
What can be mitigated?
-
-
Is the in-person experience also designed with the customer in mind?
The study relied on user interviews, a survey, an ethnographic field study, and a competitive analysis. Sample findings are attached in my portfolio packet. You will also find a set of recommendations to further research, including A/B testing, a usability study, and a clickstream analysis.
UX Persona Politics
Even the smallest campaign will ask their supporters to knock on 5,000 doors. I train candidates, staff, and volunteers on how to create UX personas to tailor talking points while they walk to the door.
Satisfied Clients
My previous employers aren't permitting me to disclose private information. But, I am proud of my work conducting research for leading companies, and will explain what I can. Publicly available information linked.
