Work
Experience

2015 - Present

Non-Partisan Strategist
Hill Country Strategists (Founder)

In 2020, after leading over a dozen campaigns supporting the best municipal candidate, no matter the party, I opened my own business to contract directly with candidates, PACs, measures, and business owners.  I specialize in customized messaging, targeting, and training, to create UX Personas designed to seamlessly connect my clients with every target household.

2014 - 2015

Human Factors Researcher
Exponent Failure
Analysis

When a user of a company's product was critically injured or killed, that company hired my team. We analyzed their product, their typical user, and the injured party, and issued a report presented to the jury, on behalf of the product maker.

In 2015, I moved back to Texas to start a UX campaign strategist business.

2012 - 2013

Human Factors Data Analyst
Google

When users send Google feedback, an algorithm buckets the feedback, and sends it to product engineers to address.  My job was to improve the accuracy of that algorithm, by testing the designs engineers built for the Google Feedback product.

2010 - 2011

Research Coordinator
Lifespan Development Laboratory at
Stanford University

I managed a Stanford and AARP collaborative study where I trained elderly volunteers to conduct user interviews with other old folks. I opened and staffed laboratories to welcome them in Los Angeles and Seattle. My work shifted to managing a lab with many studies in varying stages of finish when I returned to campus full time.
